Functions – Iron is necessary for the formation of amino acids in plants. Iron also helps to maintain the respiration system of plants.
Deficiency – Deficiency of Iron is shown in below image. Yellowing occurs in newly grown leaves and usually seen in interveinal region of leaf. Chlorosis occurs in younger leaves because iron is not a mobile element, and as such, the younger leaves cannot draw iron from other areas of the plant. Over time, the yellowing may even turn a pale white or the whole leaf may be affected. Fruits of iron-deficient plant is of poor quality and quantity
Dose – 50 -100 gm per 100 lit of water for spray
