Technical Name – Chlormequat Chloride 50% Sol.

Mode of Action – Attain is a gibberellin biosynthesis inhibitor. Attain is used as a plant growth retardant which inhibits cell elongation, resulting in thicker stalks, which are sturdier. Attain also reduce branching and foliage in certain species of shrubs and trees.

Benefits –

• Attain is absorbed by leaves and roots, so it is effective when applied as a foliar spray, sprench (hybrid of a spray and a drench application), substrate drench or liner dip.
• Attain is primarily used to inhibit extension growth, it can also accelerate flowering of a few crops.
• Attain is rapidly metabolized by plants, animals, bees and microbes in soil, meaning it is a relatively safe and short-lasting chemical when applied to crops.
• Coincidentally Attain increases the chlorophyll formation and the development of the root system, resulting in greater crop yield.
• The main application of Attain is in the cereal cultivation where Attain treatment reduces stem length, thickens and strengthens the plants to prevent lay-down.
• Attain has been used to improve both yield potential and quality of crops.
• Attain is extensively used in agriculture to increase crop yields by retarding the unwanted vegetative growth of the plant.
