CIB RC No. – CIR-138045/2017-Acetamiprid (SP) (374) 313
Technical Name – Acetamiprid 20% SP
Mode of Action – Acetem exhibits a systemic translaminar action. It has a novel mechanism of action on the insect nervous systems by acting as an agonist to enzyme nAch. It binds tightly to the acetylcholine receptor site on the post-synapse region of the insect nerve cell, leading to the hyper-excitation of the nerves. This nerve overstimulation followed by convulsions and paralysis leads to the death of the target insect. Acetem also exhibits triple action: ovicidal, adulticidal and larvicidal.
